According to a report from 247Sports, former LSU announcer Jim Hawthorne has been reported as missing in the wake of massive flooding within the Baton Rouge area.

Hawthorne’s home reportedly was flooded on Saturday evening. The family of Hawthorne has not heard from himself or his wife, Carol, since late on Saturday.

Hawthorne had been an announcer for the Tigers dating back to 1979 — before retiring this past December. A GoFundMe account has been set up as a means to provide monetary support for those embroiled in the flooding.
