Report: SEC considering multiple options for potentially moving the Alabama-Ole Miss game

Hurricane Delta has already led to a change in venue for one SEC game. A new report says another game could be rescheduled.
Cecil Hurt of The Tuscaloosa News reports that the SEC is looking at various kickoff options for the Alabama-Ole Miss game, currently scheduled for 5 p.m. CT Saturday in Oxford, Mississippi. Hurt writes that the options range from moving the game up to Friday to postponing to November.
The SEC will likely make a decision on Wednesday.
“A decision would need to be made in a timely manner,” Hurt’s source told the reporter.
Alabama would be looking at giving up its bye week before the LSU game if the Ole Miss game is moved to Nov. 7, when both teams have an open date. UA hosts Mississippi State on Oct. 31 and travels to Baton Rouge on Nov. 14. Ole Miss is at Vanderbilt on Oct. 31 and hosts South Carolina on Nov. 14.
The latest projections have Hurricane Delta making landfall in Louisiana on Friday and passing through Mississippi during the day on Saturday.
LSU was scheduled to host Missouri on Saturday. It was reported Tuesday evening and confirmed Wednesday morning by the SEC office that the game has been moved to Columbia, Missouri.
