Report: Tee Martin finalizing a deal to remain as USC’s offensive coordinator
By Cody McClure
Published:
USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin will reportedly remain in his current role.
Martin is “finalizing a contract extension” to remain as the Trojans’ OC, according to a tweet from ProFootballTalk. He recently interviewed with the Oakland Raiders.
Martin has had quite an off-season, as FootballScoop also pointed out.
Before interviewing with the Raiders, Martin was rumored to be a candidate for the Tennessee head coaching job, as his former head coach, Phillip Fulmer, took over as the Volunteers’ athletic director. Martin also reportedly spoke with LSU recently about its offensive coordinator job.
Martin helped lead Tennessee to a BCS National Championship as a quarterback in 1998.
He has been the Trojans’ OC since for the past two seasons and has held other roles in Los Angeles since 2012. Before arriving at USC, Martin spent two seasons as a wide receivers coach at Kentucky.
Take two: Tee Martin is finalizing a contract extension to remain the USC offensive coordinator. He interviewed with Raiders recently.
