The Tennessee coaching search is reportedly nearing its end, and the Vols may have their replacement for Buch Jones in place in a matter of hours.
According to USA TODAY reporter Dan Wolken, though, it might not be a hire that excites Vol Nation, as Wolken says the Vols are looking to Ohio State.
According to the report, Tennessee is currently working on finalizing a deal with Ohio State DC Greg Schiano, who has head coaching experience both at Rutgers and at the NFL level:
Tennessee is finalizing the deal with Schiano. Hopes to name him later today, per person with direct knowledge.

Tennessee fans were initially hoping for Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden, but once those plans fell through, the focus shifted to Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen.
However, Mullen could soon land the head coaching job at Florida, which means Tennessee is on to yet another backup plan.
Will Schiano be able to find success in Knoxville? That remains to be seen, but he likely won’t be the most exciting choice for a fan base that is desperate for a big splash.
