The turnover among Tennessee’s leadership continues as the school has reportedly fired chancellor Beverly Davenport. She was hired in February of 2017.
This news comes via Jimmy Hyams of WNML in Knoxville.
Before being named chancellor, Davenport served as interim president of the school. Prior to landing in Knoxville, Davenport was senior vice president and provost at the University of Cincinnati. Davenport was a central figure in the hiring of John Currie over Phillip Fulmer. Of course, Fulmer later replaced Currie following the tumultuous coaching search last season.

This observation from ESPN college football writer Chris Low pretty much says it all about the massive amount of turnover from the leadership positions in Knoxville over the last 10 years:

UPDATE: The news of Davenport’s removal has been confirmed by WATE in Knoxville.
