Report: Tennessee State player receives ‘slightly positive’ update after horrific collapse against Vanderbilt

On Saturday afternoon, Tennessee State LB Christion Abercrombie collapsed on his way to the sideline and was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center after needing to be helped to the locker room.

Abercrombie then had emergency surgery, but came out of the procedure breathing, but unresponsive.

On Sunday morning, a slightly more positive update was shared. As you can see below, Abercrombie has shown some “slightly positive” signs, but still remains in critical condition:

What exactly happened to the young linebacker on Saturday is still unknown, but it sounds like he still faces a very long road to recovery.

We hope the positive news continues to come about the Tennessee State defender, and wish him a full and speedy recovery.
