Report: Tennessee to wear new gray uniforms against Florida

You may have seen it, but if not, here’s a warning. Tennessee’s new alternate smokey gray jersey is— different? What seemed to cause excitement last season has many Vol fans scratching their heads. But now, the image may become a reality.

According to Uniform Nation’s twitter page, Tennessee has confirmed that it will debut the new Adidas smokey gray jerseys when they host Florida on Oct. 4 at Neyland Stadium.

Maybe its just that its a replica, but that picture is a far cry from the smokey grays we saw Tennessee debut last season. It’s almost as if Adidas is punishing Tennessee for signing with Nike. However the university has the final say in all team equipment, which makes this even more confusing. Based on these image, Vol fans should be counting down the days until Tennessee finally jumps ship and replaces that Adidas logo with a swoosh.
