Texas A&M landed Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher on Friday, a huge home-run hire for the Aggies after firing Kevin Sumlin on Sunday.

The Aggies are going to pay quite a bit of money to make the move happen, though, according to the reported details of Fisher’s new contract.

According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, the Aggies will sign Fisher to a 10-year, $75 million contract, paying him an annual salary of $7.5 million:

With that contract, Fisher is the second-highest paid coach in the entire FBS, behind only fellow SEC West coach Nick Saban at Alabama, who will earn $8.1 million annually starting next year.

Will that translate into success on the field? That remains to be seen, but the Aggies are happy to have him on board and it’ll be fun to see what he brings to College Station in 2018.
