According to a report from Dawgs 247, star 2017 prospect Richard LeCounte III was injured during a high school scrimmage. He was taken off of the field on a stretcher with an apparent head injury, and thus sent to a local hospital.

According to LeCounte’s assistant head coach Ryan Glazer, “I really think it’s a concussion. He says his neck is sore. He is out of it, too. I’m not sure what happened.”

LeCounte is regarded as the nation’s No. 26 player overall in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

UPDATE: LeCounte recently tweeted about his status.
