University of South Carolina closed Wednesday; Thursday and Friday are pending

South Carolina president Harris Pastides took to his personal Twitter account and offered an update on the status of the university:

The city of Columbia, South Carolina will be closed Wednesday — with classes at the university cancelled. Pastides believes the same will occur for Thursday and Friday.
Hurricane Matthew is currently beelining straight for the Southeastern seaboard. On Saturday, Georgia is supposed to take on South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium.
With the impending storm, it’s anyone’s guess as to whether the game will actually be played.
