The Commodores receiver depth is set to take a hit as reserve sophomore receiver Ronald Monroe is planning a transfer from the school, according to Vandy247.

A native of Texas, Monroe is planning on returning to his home state to play for Cisco Junior College. Monroe was a member of head coach Derek Mason’s 2014 recruiting class, his first in Nashville.

Monroe appeared in ten games for Vanderbilt, mostly as a special teams player, and recorded five catches for 17 yards in his brief Commodore career. Monroe becomes the second Vandy receiver to leave the team this offseason, as Rashad Canty decided to transfer prior to the beginning of spring practice.
