Arkansas gains commit from three-star linebacker Josh Paul

Arkansas added to its future linebacker corp Wednesday with the commitment of New Orleans prospect Josh Paul. Paul announced his commitment to the Razorbacks Wednesday night via Twitter:

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Paul is currently rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 79 outside linebacker in the country and the No. 56 overall prospect from Louisiana by 247Sports. Paul chose the Razorbacks put had been receiving interest from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tulane and Ball State among others.

“I loved everything about the campus, and more importantly the family atmosphere,” Paul told Danny West of Hawg Sports.

With Paul’s commitment, the Razorbacks now have 13 total players committed to the 2017 recruiting class.

Paul looks to bring an elite level of athleticism to Fayetteville, as he excels not only at linebacker but at defensive back and special teams in high school. Landing a linebacker prospect that can not only rush the passer but lower the boom when he gets there should make every Razorback fan happy:
