When Georgia takes on Florida in Jacksonville on Saturday, it will likely be without George Pickens for a 2nd straight game.

Pickens did not travel with the team for its win against Kentucky on Oct. 31 while recovering from what has been referred to as an “upper-body injury”. However, according to DawgNation, he is “expected” to miss the Cocktail Party game as well.

The leading receiver for Georgia as a true freshman in 2019 with 49 catches for 727 yards and 8 touchdowns, Pickens has had a slow start to 2020. He did record a season-high 5 catches for 53 yards in the loss to Alabama on Oct. 17—putting him at 13 catches for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns for the year—but he has struggled to become heavily involved in an offense led by quarterback Stetson Bennett IV.

Pickens’ apparent absence adds to a growing list of players rendered unavailable for the Dawgs against their SEC East rival. Headlining the list is star defensive back Richard LeCounte III, who sustained multiple injuries in a dirt bike accident, as well as defensive linemen Jordan Davis and Julian Rochester, who were hurt during the win over the Wildcats.
