Scorching hot wide receiver Travin Dural’s status for Saturday’s game is up in the air after he reportedly needed stitches on his forehead after a car accident. Glenn Guilbeau of Gannett was the first to report the story.

Dural sat out of practices on Monday and Tuesday, and was reportedly seen at LSU’s football facility with stitches visible on his forehead. Les Miles regularly addresses the media on Wednesday nights after practice, and he should shed some light on the situation at that time.

Dural set the school record for longest touchdown reception with his 94-yard score against Sam Houston State and leads the team with 291 receiving yards and four touchdowns. No other receiver on the roster has more than four catches or 77 yards, so it would be a major blow if Dural is unable to go against Louisiana-Monroe.
