Many wondered whether Georgia running back Nick Chubb would lose a step after suffering a gruesome knee injury late last season.
Chubb has silenced those doubters less than three quarters into the season.
The junior set a Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game record with 154 rushing yards from scrimmage against North Carolina in the Georgia Dome before the fourth quarter even began. Chubb notched the contest’s opening score, a 2-yard plunge with just less than five minutes left in the first quarter.
Nick Chubb now has a Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game record with 154 net rushing yards from scrimmage.

He accomplished the feat on 27 carries, good for a 5.7 yards a pop. With a quarter remaining, Chubb is sure to further pad his record in the ninth annual Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game.
