Artemis 1 is set to launch within the year, representing the first space flight in NASA’s Artemis program. Conversely, Sept. 12 will be the 60th anniversary of John F Kennedy’s famous moon speech at Rice University in 1962.
So naturally, the Rice football team unveiled sick new special edition uniforms themed after the famous speech.

Rice University is located just miles away from NASA’s Space Center in Houston. The jersey’s feature moon-themed lettering and numbers, with Kennedy’s speech written on the shoulder pads and a silver helmet with numbers on one side and ‘Rice’ on the other in the moon-themed font.
The Owls really went all out.
