Georgia head coach Mark Richt did address the injury to running back Keith Marshall in his postgame comments after Georgia’s 66-0 win over Troy.
Marshall left the game in the third quarter after a hard hit in which it appeared his right knee, which was reconstructed after an ACL injury last year, was bent backward. He spent the rest of the game on crutches, but Richt said early indications are positive.
“The early word on it is that it’s not real serious, but you always have to get the MRI’s to verify things,” Richt said according to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald. “But we’re not sitting here holding our breaths so much. We think it’s pretty solid structurally.”
