Ricky Council IV, transferring Wichita State guard, has 3 SEC programs in his top 6

Ricky Council IV, like many talented college basketball players, is currently exploring his transfer options via the portal.

The standout Wichita State guard took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal he was down to his final 6 schools.

As you can see below, 3 SEC teams — Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi State — are still in the mix for his commitment:

Those 3 SEC teams will compete with Iowa State and Kansas out of the Big 12 and Georgia Tech out of the ACC for Council’s services in 2022-23.

Council appeared in 28 games for the Shockers this past season, starting 7 of them. He averaged 12 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
