It looks like Rich Rodriguez is staying at Arizona after all.
Happy and honored to be an Arizona Wildcat!! Bear Down!!

Rodriguez interviewed for the South Carolina job as was considered a front-runner for some close to the search. He was offered the job, it appears, but turned it down.
Great news! @CoachRodAZ did not commit to the offer from S. Carolina. He's an Arizona Wildcat. #BearDown

Was told at one point South Carolina's AD would not offer unless he was sure coach would accept. If what Byrne tweeted is true … woo boy.

Former Florida coach Will Muschamp, defensive coordinator this season at Auburn, and South Florida coach Willie Taggert also have interviewed for the job. Taggert went back home to Tampa and got a contract extension from USF.
Rodriguez had been an offensive coordinator at Clemson before being a head coach at West Virginia, Michigan and Arizona.
Rich Rodriguez "did not commit to the offer" per tweet from AZ AD Greg Byrne. I'm told RR "didn't feel like it was the right thing."
