Roman Harper shares his pick for SEC Freshman of the Year

Several freshmen have stood out across the SEC in their first year of college football action, but few have made quite as much noise as Ole Miss standout running back Quinshon Judkins.

Judkins, who has broken multiple records this season with a total of 1,036 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 180 carries this season, was who Roman Harper of SEC Now named as his pick for SEC Freshman of the Year.

In fact, he may just be the best freshman in the nation.

“He’s freshman of the year (in the SEC), if not the whole country,” Harper said.

Judkins has crossed the century-mark in his past three games in total rushing yards and will look to do so once more as he and Rebels face a stiff Alabama team on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
