Roquan Smith has made his long-awaited decision.
The four-star linebacker who verbally committed to UCLA on National Signing Day but never sent a signed LOI after learning of a possible coaching change, has signed a financial aid agreement with his home-state Georgia Bulldogs. The Montezuma, Ga., native will sign his binding LOI later this summer when he enrolls:

The addition of Smith, a longtime target, pushes Georgia’s 2015 haul to 29 players and strengthens a consensus Top 10 class. Smith picked the Bulldogs over finalists UCLA, Texas A&M and Michigan.

“He’s not going to sign a letter of intent,” Smith’s high school coach Larry Harold told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution on Monday. “The reason why is because what he went through last week. This just gives us flexibility in case something else unexpectedly happens again.”
