The Rimington Trophy is staying in the state of Alabama.

One year after Auburn’s Reese Dismukes won the award as the nation’s best center, Alabama’s Ryan Kelly has followed suit.

The fifth-year senior beat out Michigan State center Jack Allen and Iowa center Austin Blythe to claim the hardware.

It’s been a huge week for Kelly, who made first-team All-SEC according to the league’s coaches and also was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy on Wednesday.

Kelly has helped clear a path for Derrick Henry’s 1,986 rushing yards this season in addition to making all the calls for a line that’s protected quarterback Jake Coker.
