Ryan Williams keeps finding new ways to impress the college football world.

On Saturday against Mercer, Williams scored a 27-yard rushing touchdown off of a jet sweep to give Alabama a 7-0 lead over Mercer. The play also included some misdirection that clearly fooled the Mercer defense.

Here’s a look at Williams’ score:

For Williams, this was his second rushing touchdown of the season and his ninth overall in 2024. The 17-year-old has been arguably Alabama’s best and most consistent offensive player so far this season.

Williams is also on pace to go over the 1,000 receiving yards benchmark this season as a true freshman. He entered this game with 731 receiving yards on the year in 9 games.

Alabama will be a big favorite in each of its remaining games to close out the regular season. After facing Mercer on Saturday, the Crimson Tide still have games remaining vs. Oklahoma and Auburn. The Sooners and Tigers have a combined 2 SEC wins so far this season, with 1 being Oklahoma’s win at Jordan-Hare earlier this year.
