Ryan Williams is officially 18 years old, meaning many college football broadcasters will have to find a new talking point for Alabama football games. The electric receiver also celebrated his latest birthday with a signature NIL deal of an interesting nature.
In a video Williams shared to social media, he announced an NIL deal with Sally Hansen, a popular nail polish brand. This year, Williams’ birthday also fell on Super Bowl Sunday, giving the young player a chance to show off his new deal — and nails — for the big game.
“You know it’s a big day for me. As you can clearly see, it’s my birthday. It’s also the big game today, so you know I had to get right today,” said Williams. “Had to start off right, had to get the nails right.”
The rest of the video features Williams settling on his color for the day, a deep black, and even close-ups of the football star painting his nails. It might be an odd look for some but the practice has become more widespread since Caleb Williams began painting his nails during his time in college at Oklahoma and USC.

Ultimately, painting his nails did not hinder Williams’ production on the football field. He boosted the offense of Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide with a team-leading 865 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns, and did we mention he did all that while just 17 years old?
We’ll see what Ryan Williams dials up for an encore in 2025 — with a new quarterback — now that he’s the mature old age of 18.
