Ryan Williams skies over Vanderbilt defender en route to 58-yard TD vs. Vanderbilt
Ryan Williams continues to make big-time plays in clutch moments.
It’s been a week since Williams scored what proved to be the game-winner against Georgia, and now he’s making big plays in a comeback effort against Vanderbilt.
Trailing by 9 late in the third quarter, Jalen Milroe threw it up to his freshman phenom wide receiver to make a play along the left sideline. Williams obliged, coming down with the ball despite a Vanderbilt defensive backs who appeared to be in good position on the play.
Not only that, but Williams managed to stay on his feet and scamper into the end zone to make it a 30-28 game. Here’s video of the highlight play:

Despite being just 17 years old, Williams has been Alabama’s best receiver in 2024. He entered Saturday’s game leading the Crimson Tide in every major category with 16 catches for 462 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Alabama was a significant favorite over Vanderbilt on Saturday, but finds itself trailing the Commodores midway through the third quarter. Alabama has not lost to Vanderbilt since the 1984 season.
