Tennessee fans have gone through quite the up-and-down season. The Vols gave the fans no reason to stick around while they got drubbed by Mizzou:

Really? Yes, really, the Tigers trounced the Vols:

This is an accurate take:

Don’t believe us? Ask Worf. After all, he has honor:

It was unpleasant all around for the folks in Knoxville:

It was even worse for Arkansas. Well, the whole season has been:

Alabama fans were very worried for the first half against The Citadel. The most shocking halftime score of the season: Bulldogs 10, Crimson Tide 10:

For a team that won, Ohio State looked really bad, at least on defense. Just ask Buckeyes fans:

Or OSU coach Urban Meyer, who has cranked up the histrionics this season:

Hardly seemed worth getting painted and wigged:

But OSU finally had reason to celebrate at the end when Maryland went for two in overtime and failed, giving the Buckeyes a victory. Then it was the Terrapins’ turn to be sad:

Finally, some true sadness, accompanied by some lovely tributes. First, for Hawaii, which lost former offensive lineman and longtime NFL veteran Vince Manuwai this month:

Nebraska and Michigan State shared a tragedy when Cornhuskers punter Sam Foltz and former Spartans punter Mike Sadler were killed together in an auto accident in July 2016. This was the first meeting between the football programs since then, and representatives from both teams gathered for a pregame ceremony for the two players:

Finally, SEC fandom lost one of its most distinctive voices last week when Auburn superfan and frequent Paul Finebaum Show caller Tammy Bullard was killed along with her 3-year-old granddaughter in an auto accident in Alabama. Bullard’s passion was what college football is all about.
