Rivalry Week can bring out the best and worst in players, coaches and fans alike.

We’re here for the worst. C’mon, it’s Week 13, y’all knew that already, right?

We start with the Iron Bowl, of course.

Auburn kept the game close for a while against host Alabama, but Tigers fans wound up mostly looking like this:

And some, as you might expect, started to get salty online:

But Bama fans didn’t pass on their chance to have some fun:

Some folks didn’t even bother razzing the opposition, saving their Twitter trolling for CBS:

But no matter the rooting interest, the whole state of Alabama’s mad Iron Bowl passion can be summed up in this great image:

Let’s step back to Thanksgiving day, when Ole Miss fans watched a pretty lame home finale by their Rebels against rival Mississippi State:

Well, look at it this way, young lady: Sanctions meant Ole Miss would not have gone bowling anyway:

And speaking of bowling, Vanderbilt clinched a postseason spot with its sixth win. Better yet for Commodores fans, their team kept Tennessee out of the bowl picture and beat the Vols for the third straight year – that had not happened since the 1920s:

This photo does not depict indigestion from too much turkey. For Vols fans, Saturday was far worse:

No winning to be had with this next tweet. Except for the sweet Ric Flair avatar pic, obviously:

In Tallahassee, Florida solidified its bid for a major bowl by thumping Florida State. Even better for the Gators, the result clinched a losing season for FSU and ended a record 36-year streak of appearing in bowls for the Seminoles. The reality started to set in early:

And led to a #SurrenderCobra sighting:

Florida fans took no prisoners online:

Outside of SEC territory, No. 4 Michigan saw its College Football Playoff hopes crash with a lopsided defeat against eternal nemesis Ohio State in Columbus.

UM coach Jim Harbaugh had no close calls to rue this time:

So all that remained was for Wolverines fans to digest their 16th loss to the hated Buckeyes in 18 years:

It’s November, so it’s basketball season at Duke, which might explain this:

But come on, the Blue Devils football team has a winning record! Maybe the fans knew Wake Forest was going to whomp Duke on Saturday to become bowl eligible.

Finally, the pain of Rivalry Week was perhaps best expressed during West Virginia’s shootout loss to Oklahoma in Morgantown:

Up next: Championship Week. The stakes are getting higher and the emotions are sure to flow.
