Sad fans are sad: Week 2 – 2018

When your school’s 31-game winning streak over a conference rival ends, below is how you feel.

We have what appears to be nail-biting in the middle left. A face palm in the center. A modified surrender cobra (sounds like it should be a WWE finishing move) at bottom right. Hands on hips at top right.

That’s pretty much your sad fan grand slam right here:

Florida’s loss to Kentucky on Saturday — in Gainesville, no less — make for a lot of nervous moments for denizens at The Swamp:

This is an interesting take on the same photo. Bill Hader left Saturday Night Live four years ago but, OK…

Gators fans didn’t even have a monopoly on surrender cobras in the Sunshine State on Saturday. Florida State’s struggles against Samford — that’s Samford, not Stanford — gave us both a synchronized cobra and a face palm cobra.

This is NOT the way to pay tribute to the late former Seminoles football player Burt Reynolds.

And don’t forget about poor South Carolina. The Chicken Curse strikes again.

There’s even a contest for saddest fans?

One of the saddest fan bases today has to be Purdue. Didn’t you go to a bowl last year? I mean, losing to a good MAC team is somewhat understandable. But Eastern Michigan?

At least Texas A&M gave its fans a close loss against a really good opponent. The loss to Clemson made for some high drama in College Station.

That’s just college football, folks.
