In the modern SEC, expectations are at an all-time high and execution is dipping just as low. As lawyers around the country scramble to buy up every “fire(SEC coach).com” domain name, the fans in the stands continue to feel the sadness.
This is SEC Sad Fans.
BYU vs Mississippi State
In Starkville, Mississippi State paid this historically bad BYU team back for serving them an L in Provo last year. There were very few BYU fans in attendance and BYU fans are often very meek and polite anyway. Instead, let’s have a look at the one thing the Cougars can do: dance.

South Carolina vs. Tennessee

Making fun of Tennessee fans feels cruel at this point, as they haven’t won anything of consequence since Will Smith was dropping “Gettin’ Jiggy wit It,” but the Vols continue to find new ways to leave their fans feeling sad.
All things considered, this one wasn’t so bad. Tennessee did squander a late chance to win it, but at least the game wasn’t a blowout. Also, their heir kicker narrowly avoided a meme hall of fame moment.

Just how desperate are folks getting in Knoxville?
Would Tennessee fans take @Lane_Kiffin back as head coach?

Vanderbilt vs. Ole Miss
This one video basically sums up the Commodores’ day in Oxford:

Vanderbilt has thrown in the towel.
After a great start to the season, the wheels have fallen off of the Dores bandwagon and each week has found a new set of perils for a once sneaky good team.
This is a warning, boys and girls.

Auburn vs. LSU
What even is LSU at this point? The Bayou Bengals looked like a Sun Belt team to start off the year, and have now beaten back-to-back ranked SEC foes. This was easily the most expectation-defying win of the weekend, and possibly the season in the SEC, as LSU overcame a 20-point deficit at home for the first time since 1949.
Auburn thought they would come into Baton Rouge for an easy victory, but remained winless since the year 1999.
If only it had come in Auburn, this would’ve been sad fans gold.

Texas A&M vs. Florida
Florida still hasn’t found a QB since Tim Tebow and their offense has…wait a minute.
https://twitter.com/megboujee/status/919417975354089472
They did find a QB and then banished him to the land of John Denver. Now he’s in the Heisman race. Life comes at you fast.
The Gators looked to build on that successful strategy by not only treating their home fans to 129 passing yards and 2 interceptions in the loss, but also these beautiful jerseys.

Arkansas vs. Alabama
Another week, another beatdown and another coach paling in comparison to Nick Saban and the Alabama machine. Nothing to see here, Arkansas, just pray for greener pastures to rest your Hog heads on.
