Burks is headed to the NFL Draft, and is a likely first-round pick. Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman talked about the loss of Burks.
Pittman on missing Treylon Burks: He was our go-to guy
I understand his situation, but losing him we lost a lot of offense and a very good leader.
“It’s going to take a lot of people to replace one Burks.”

“He was our go-to guy. I understand his situation, but losing him we lost a lot of offense and a very good leader, he said. “It’s going to take a lot of people to replace one Burks.”
But despite the loss, Pittman said Burks leaving in a sense, forced the other receivers on the team to step up.
“Losing him, we lost a lot of offense. We also lost a very good leader,” Pittman said. “But can we replace him? It’s going to take a lot of people to replace Burks. He was our go-to guy. He was our big-play guy. Any time we got zero coverage, man coverage, everybody in the place knew he was going to get the ball.”
