Sam Pittman’s return to Sanford Stadium didn’t go as he or Arkansas had hoped. The Razorbacks head coach, who is a former Georgia assistant, was on the wrong end of a 37-0 game on Saturday that the Bulldogs dominated from the start.
It put a halt to Arkansas’ hot start, as it had won each of its first 4 games to climb to No. 8 in the AP Top 25 poll. However, it ran into a team that is among the top favorites to win the national championship.
“Georgia was a hell of a lot better than us today,” Pittman said during his postgame press conference.
Here’s more of what Pittman told the media following Saturday’s game:
Sam Pittman: "They have the best defensive front 7 that I've seen. They've got guys on the 2-team who could start for a lot of teams across the nation."

Sam Pittman on commiting three penalties on one play: "Don't jump offsides, don't hold a guy, and don't pass interference a guy. Hell, I don't know"

"Our pride got crushed, our ego got crushed, but it's one ballgame against a team in the east. We're still right where we need to be in the west," Pittman says.
