Week 7 marks the return of two important events in SEC football.
First, we had Thursday night football. Auburn won its first SEC game of the season in Lexington, beating Kentucky 30-27 behind a huge game from Tigers running back Peyton Barber. It was the first Thursday night game featuring SEC teams on ESPN since Week 1.
Then, today, football returns to South Carolina as the Gamecocks host Vanderbilt. Williams-Brice Stadium will certainly be abuzz after the the city hosts its first big event following the flooding and destruction in the Palmetto State. Their former coach Steve Spurrier, who resigned this week, won’t be on the sideline to lead the Gamecocks, which makes South Carolina’s Homecoming all the more bittersweet.

- No. 10 Alabama at No.9 Texas A&M, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS
- Vanderbilt at South Carolina, 4 p.m. ET, SEC Network
- No. 8 Florida at No. 6 LSU, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN
- Missouri at Georgia, 7:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network
