Scott Van Pelt has made his pick for Miami’s highly-anticipated matchup against Louisville on Saturday.

Van Pelt made his pick as part of his weekly “Winners” segment on ESPN. As Van Pelt often does, he’s siding with the home underdog.

“In the noon window, we’re backing Louisville at home getting 5 from Miami, who has not lost,” Van Pelt said. “But we’re going to through those Ls up and take Louisville.”

Van Pelt’s picks are on a hot streak. He’s 12-2 over the past couple of weeks, which has been enough to get his full-season record back up to .500 entering Week 8.

Miami is coming off of a bye, but the Canes have played back-to-back close games prior to this week’s battle with the Cardinals. Miami narrowly beat Virginia Tech a few weeks ago and then needed a historic comeback to beat Cal on the road in Week 7.

Louisville is 4-2 on the season and needs to pick up a win over Miami in order to stay in the race for the ACC Championship. The Cardinals have dropped games to Notre Dame and SMU so far this season. Last week they picked up a close win over Virginia on the road.

Miami is a 5-point favorite over Louisville on Saturday, per ESPN BET.

Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
