Scott Van Pelt has made his pick for Auburn’s matchup against Missouri on Saturday.

Van Pelt made a pick in this game as part of his weekly “Winners” segment on ESPN. Van Pelt is taking Auburn (plus 4 points) despite the Tigers’ recent run of poor results.

“Auburn has not won an SEC game yet, but Missouri is only favored by 4, huh? OK, War Eagle,” Van Pelt said. “Feels like a close game coming there.”

Van Pelt’s picks have gone 12-2 over the last couple of weeks — his best stretch of the 2024 season so far.

Missouri is coming off of a blowout win over UMass in Week 7. Prior to that game, Mizzou suffered an embarrassing loss at Texas A&M the week before. That was Missouri’s first defeat of the 2024 season.

Auburn, meanwhile, is still searching for its first SEC win of the season. Hugh Freeze and the Tigers played close games against Arkansas and Oklahoma to open SEC play, but were unable to secure a win. Auburn also lost to Georgia last weekend, meaning the Tigers are 1 of 2 SEC teams without a win in conference play so far this season (Mississippi State).

Missouri is a 4-point underdog on Saturday vs. Auburn, per the latest lines from DraftKings.

Auburn is 3-1 all-time against Mizzou.
