Alabama’s Reggie Ragland, Georgia’s Leonard Floyd and Deion Jones at LSU have been named finalists for the Butkus Award, given annually to college football’s most outstanding linebacker.

Ragland leads the SEC’s top-ranked defense with 85 tackles. Floyd, an NFL-ready junior, has 4.5 sacks this season for Jeremy Pruitt’s unit in Athens.

In 10 games, Jones is averaging 8.1 tackles per contest for the Tigers.

Mizzou’s Kentrell Brothers, who leads the nation with 140 total tackles, was a noticeable snub on the list of finalists.
