SEC bowl projections after Week 8: Who’s in danger of falling out?

This weekend was the calm after the chaos.
Last week’s crazy results, which saw seven ranked teams lose to unranked opponents, didn’t come close to being replicated in Week 8 on Saturday.
Five SEC schools, the most in any week this season, enjoyed a bye. That included Georgia and Florida ahead of their “Cocktail Party” clash next week in Jacksonville.
As expected, Alabama, Auburn and LSU rolled. Tennessee is a team in reverse — honestly, if the Vols lose to Kentucky next week I can no longer in good faith foresee this UT team winning six games to make a bowl.
But for now the Vols stay, in part because Kentucky didn’t really show any better on Saturday against Mississippi State than Tennessee did against Alabama.
