Though six SEC teams were included in the two major top 25 polls released Sunday afternoon, each top 25 included only five conference teams.
Georgia is in the Amway Coaches Top 25, but not the Associated Press Top 25. Mississippi State made the AP list, but not the Coaches list.
LSU, No. 4 in both polls, led the SEC.
Other SEC teams in the Coaches Poll included: No. 7 Alabama, No. 12 Florida, No. 21 Ole Miss and No. 23 Georgia. In the AP Poll, Florida was No. 11, Ole Miss No. 19 and Mississippi State was No. 25.
Ohio State was No. 1 followed by Baylor in both polls.
