If someone ever tries to tell you that the SEC doesn’t produce the most top tier NFL Draft prospects, here’s the graphic you can share to end the argument before it ever starts.
SportSource Analytics tweeted out a map that highlights the hometown of the last decade’s worth of first-round draft picks.

The SEC is well represented, and the southeastern United States is a the most populated area of the map.
The 2016 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, and the SEC is expected to again be well represented during the first round.
Florida’s Vernon Hargreaves III, Georgia’s Leonard Floyd, Ole Miss’ Laremy Tunsil, Laquon Treadwell and Robert Nkemdiche, Alabama’s Jarran Reed, Ryan Kelly, Reggie Ragland, A’Shawn Robinson and Derrick Henry, Mississippi State’s Chris Jones and Arkansas’ Hunter Henry are all SEC names that have been pegged as potential first-round selections.
That means in a dream scenario, as many as 12 of the 31 first-round selections could be SEC players.
