Just like everyone predicted before the season began, Texas A&M stands atop the SEC standings through six weeks of action.

Yes, the Aggies have jumped out to a 3-0 mark to start conference play, fresh off a dominant 41-10 win over then-No. 9 Missouri to go along with wins over Florida and Arkansas. Mike Elko’s inaugural TAMU squad has rebounded nicely from a season-opening loss to Notre Dame and is two games ahead of the next closest challenger.

Texas and LSU are the only other SEC teams without a loss in conference play, as both squads were idle last week.

Arkansas and Georgia follow that duo as the only teams in the league with a pair of wins. The Razorbacks are fresh off a program-defining upset win over then-No. 4 Tennessee and have taken down the Vols and Auburn while having lost to Texas A&M last week. Georgia notably fell to Alabama a week ago, but the Bulldogs rebounded to cruise to a win over Auburn and have a road victory over Kentucky to their name.

And, there is a mess of teams at 1-1 in the conference. Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss and Missouri headline the group as major contenders that have stumbled thus far, and Florida, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt also join them with a win and a loss.

South Carolina and Kentucky find themselves at 1-2 apiece, with the Gamecocks owning the head-to-head tiebreaker.

And in the cellar of the SEC, Mississippi State (0-2) is only eclipsed by 0-3 Auburn.
