Here’s everything you need to know about the 2nd meeting between Troy and Georgia today on SEC Network.
When: Today
Where: Athens, Ga.
Game Time: 12 p.m. EST
TV: SEC Network
Current Line: Georgia (-40)
Game Buzz: Georgia is coming off a tough loss last weekend in Columbia and looks to correct a bevy of mistakes we saw from the Bulldogs last Saturday. They face a team in Troy, that to say they’ve struggled, would be an understatement. Expect to see plenty of backups this afternoon from Georgia and a team that is motivated to improve.

Keys for Georgia:
- Get back to the basics. Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and his unit will be far more athletic and talented that the Troy defense on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs need to get back to getting off blocks and making tackles. This is a very good opportunity for them to improve as a defense.
- Run the ball. Georgia has the best group of running backs in the conference, and they need to flex some of that muscle against a Troy defense that has not been able to stop the run thus far. Look for guys not named Gurley to get some valuable playing time today.
- Get better. The season is far from over despite last weekend’s loss to the Gamecocks. If you’re Georgia, get over the early kickoff and use this game against an inferior opponent to get better as you head back into SEC play.
Bulldogs’ glaring weakness to watch: Secondary — the status of starting quarterback Brandon Silvers is uncertain to due a concussion he sustained in Troy’s loss last week. However, Pruitt has said that both Silvers and Dontreal Pruitt are athletic options under center. Don’t be fooled, Troy can pass the ball and could test the Bulldog secondary at times
Most interesting part of the game: How does Georgia use its substitutions today? I’d be surprised if the starters are still playing as this game reaches the third quarter. How often to does head coach Mark Richt substitute on offense at the skill positions.
Team Buzz: Georgia’s still a very good team who is very much in the race for the SEC East. Look for them to prove that today.
