The Associated Press released its All-America teams for the 2022 college football season and the SEC was well represented.

Headlining the AP All-America first team from the SEC were Alabama’s Will Anderson, who received the same honor a year ago, and Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who had a breakout year in Knoxville.

Top-ranked Georgia placed 2 players on the first team: defensive tackle Jalen Carter and safety Chris Smith.

Offensive lineman O’Cyrus Torrence from Florida and Arkansas linebacker Drew Sanders were also first-team selections from the SEC

Additionally, Georgia’s Brock Bowers was selected to the second team at tight end, where he was joined by teammate Jamon Dumas-Johnson, a linebacker for the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State cornerback Emmanuel Forbes and Alabama defensive back Brian Branch were also second-team picks.

Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker, meanwhile, was named to the third team.
