SEC Network analyst says Arkansas QB Austin Allen ‘eyeballed’ some throws
Former NFL tight end and current SEC Network analyst Anthony Becht said Tuesday on Bo Mattingly’s radio show that Razorbacks quarterback Austin Allen “eyeballed” some receivers during the Hogs’ 21-20, escape-act win against Louisiana Tech.
Becht: Austin Allen eyeballed some receivers a little bit. That was something they noticed in the spring game.

Becht called the game for the SEC Network.
The junior forced a couple of throws and got picked off twice, once in the red zone. But he was mostly effective overall, going 20-of-29 for 191 yards and two touchdowns. Allen led the team down the field to take the lead in the fourth quarter, hitting tight end Jeremy Sprinkle for a 4-yard touchdown strike on 4th-and-goal.
He was making his first start replacing older brother Brandon Allen, who departed the program after last season as one of the most prolific quarterbacks in program history.
