The Missouri upset win over LSU may have done more than just added a loss in the standings for the Bayou Bengals. Former Georgia star Brandon Boykin said on the SEC Network’s “Thinking Out Loud” that the result exposed LSU for multiple reasons.

Missouri QB Connor Bazelak passed for 406 yards and four touchdowns even though several receivers were out, and the CoMo Tigers still put up a 45-41 victory. For Boykin, that reveals what shapes up to be a long SEC season.

“Nobody’s afraid of LSU anymore,” Boykin said. “I think that’s just what it comes down to. LSU’s been exposed as a team, especially defensively. They’re going to get everybody’s best shot every week, through the air, so they better get ready for the rest of this SEC schedule, because it’s coming.”

Earlier in the segment, Spencer Hall gave Missouri credit for winning despite a lot of discussion in the preseason about those Tigers being largely written off because of the revised difficult SEC schedule.

“When the senior Tigers on the circuit came rolling in, did they have one goal-line stand in them? Yes, yes, they did,” Hall said.
