Published:
SEC Media Days begin Monday in and the SEC Network will have fans covered. Ahead of the festivities in Dallas, ESPN announced plans for 49 hours of live studio programming surrounding the four-day event (Monday-Thursday).
Nick Saban is no stranger to SEC Media Days, having coached from 2000-04 at LSU and 2007-23 at Alabama. He’s returning to SEC Media Days in 2024, but as a media analyst. Saban made his ESPN debut on the network’s NFL Draft coverage. He’ll be part of ESPN’s College GameDay this fall.
In addition to Saban, SEC Network audiences will hear from Jordan Rodgers, Greg McElroy, Roman Harper, Paul Finebaum, Benjamin Watson, Chris Doering, Sam Acho, Dusty Dvoracek, Cole Cubelic and other analysts.
Finebaum, Laura Rutledge, Joe Tessitore, Dari Nowkhah, Peter Burns and Alyssa Lang are set to handle hosting duties.

SEC Network’s daily coverage will begin with SEC This Morning at 7 a.m. ET. The show, hosted by Burns and Doering, will handle the first three hours.
SEC Now will begin at 10 a.m. when each day’s podium action gets underway. Rutledge, Tessitore, Nowkhah and Lang will trade hosting duties over the four days, chatting with various conference coaches and players on set.
In addition to the daily podium coverage, a special edition of SEC Now: Live from SEC Football Media Days – is slated for Wednesday at 8 p.m, ET airing on ESPN2 and simulcast on SEC Network.
The Paul Finebaum Show will lead afternoon coverage. Viewers can expect appearances from numerous coaches, players and media members on set.
In addition to live coverage from Dallas, the SEC Network is also using Media Days week to introduce some new original programming.
Monday evening at 7 p.m. ET, following Finebaum, SEC Startup will debut. An SEC effort to support business and innovation, here’s how ESPN PR describes the show:
The new program is a student-athlete pitch competition, designed to foster entrepreneurship. Competitors will have an opportunity to present their businesses to a panel of judges during a televised competition, providing additional exposure for the young entrepreneurs, and awards allocated to the student-athletes based on the company’s business plan and the presentation pitch.
Tuesday evening’s feature is SEC Inside: Oklahoma and Texas Spring Football offering a behind-the-scenes look into how the newest conference members began preparing for their first season in the SEC.
Homecoming with Paul Finebaum debuts Wednesday evening. Finebaum takes viewers back to the formative years of some of the alumni from SEC schools who have become the biggest names in pop culture, business and more. The first two alumni featured are Admiral Bill McRaven and Brian Bosworth.
The SEC Network’s original programming wraps with SEC Storied: Saturday Night Lights. The film is set to relive the greatest games and moments that have played out in primetime on ESPN and ABC over the years.
