One SEC Network host is making a case for LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels to win the Heisman Trophy.

SEC Network studio host Alyssa Lang said College Sports on SiriusXM that Daniels is “playing at a Heisman level since the season began.”

“I know I sound biased, but look at the numbers…even in losses,” Lang said.

Lang says Daniels’ numbers speak for themselves. In the air, Daniels has 3,164 passing yards, 30 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. On the ground, he has run for 918 yards and 8 scores on 114 carries.

In LSU’s 52-35 win over Florida this past weekend, Daniels was 17-of-26 for 372 yards and 2 TDs. He had 234 rushing yards and 2 scores on 12 carries.

“He’s so consistent with what he’s been able to do,” Lang said.

Lang mentioned that she won’t be upset if Oregon QB Bo Nix wins the Heisman.

“But this feels like it should be Jayden Daniels’ award just as much,” Lang said. “It’s a coin flip for me in a way of emotions but you break down the numbers, you can’t see how it’s not Jayden.”

Daniels and the Tigers (7-3) will face nonconference foe Georgia State this Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2. LSU has won 3 of its last 4 games.
