Except for Ole Miss, Kentucky and Florida, winners of games during Week 4 had less penalties than their opponents.
Florida and Tennessee had exactly the same amount of penalties and penalty yardage, and seeing Florida go from 10 to 4 in the span of a week is pretty impressive.
Instead of the Gators, it was LSU who went to town on penalties this week. Their 14 penalties against Syracuse equaled the number of penalties they’ve had in their last two games combined. It’s also the most penalties received by an SEC team this week.
Arkansas, however, now holds the most penalties so far this season. They also racked up penalties into the double digits in their attempt to beat Texas A&M.
