Over the past 10 seasons, the SEC has averaged 5.5 teams in the final AP Top 25 poll and three in the top 10.
This season, the conference should have two teams finish in the top 10 — Alabama and Ole Miss — and five in the top 25. The SEC currently only has four teams in the top 25, but Georgia and Tennessee should jump into the rankings while Florida drops out. Arkansas also has an outside chance.
