Six SEC football players were named Tuesday to the 2022 Academic All-America teams, led by Kentucky quarterback Will Levis, who was named the Division I Academic All-America Team Member of the Year.
The selections were made by the College Sports Communicators.

Joining Levis on the Academic All-America First Team are Mississippi State wide receiver Austin Williams, Georgia star tight end Brock Bowers and Auburn kicker Anders Carlson.
Tennessee punter Paxton Brooks and LSU special-teamer Jay Bramblett were named to the Second Team.
Brooks, Carlson and Williams are repeat selections to the Academic All-America Division I teams.
Levis graduated from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business in only 3 years with a degree in finance.
Levis recently earned a master’s degree in finance from Kentucky’s prestigious Gatton School of Business and Economics. He had a perfect 4.0 grade-point average there.
Bowers, a sophomore from Napa, California, piled up 52 catches for 726 yards and 6 touchdowns this season in helping the top-ranked Bulldogs go 13-0 and secure a College Football Playoff semifinal berth against Ohio State on New Year’s Eve. Bowers will try to help Georgia capture its 2nd straight national championship.
Levis threw for 2,406 yards and 19 touchdowns to help the Wildcats earn a berth in the Music City Bowl against Iowa on New Year’s Eve.
