Mel Kiper Jr. released his newest Big Board on Thursday. There were eight SEC players in his top 25, including the top player and three of the top six.
Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche sits at the top of Kiper’s list. Nkemdiche, a junior, has 17 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks for the Rebels this year.
Nkemdiche was one of three Ole Miss players in Kiper’s top 25, along with offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, who was fourth, and wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, who was 24th. Treadwell has caught 49 passes for 654 yards and four touchdowns. He has also thrown a touchdown pass.
Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves is at No. 6 on Kiper’s list. Hargreaves has 15 tackles and three interceptions for the Gators.
Three Alabama defenders made the list. Linebacker Reggie Ragland, who has 59 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks, was the No. 13 player. Defensive tackle Jarran Reed, who has 34 tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack, was No. 18. Fellow defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson, who has 23 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, was 21st.
LSU cornerback Tre’Davious White was ranked No. 15. White has 16 tackles and three pass breakups for the Tigers.
