The weekly award announcements have begun after an eventful Saturday that was full of upsets and last-second games. The SEC West is doing quite well already.

The first round of congratulations go to Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral and Arkansas linebacker Hayden Henry for being named the Walter Camp offensive and defensive national player of the week, respectively.

Corral completed 21-of-33 passes for 281 yards and five touchdowns in Ole Miss’ 54-17 win over Austin Peay on Saturday. Corral also ran the ball eight times for 35 yards. Henry had 15 tackles, including 2 1/2 for a loss, in Arkansas’ shocking 40-21 win over No. 15 Texas.

The Walter Camp is awarded to the top college football player of the season during its ceremony that is held following the regular season.
